A Passion for the Community
Ms Elfin serves as a Grassroot Leader for Seletar East and Cheng San GRCs for over two decades and has passionately given her time and energy to help the residents in these neighbourhoods.
In recent years, she has brought her community service experience and merge it with her passion for arts to serve the residents living in Bukit Batok East.
She introduced her Therapeutic Art Growth services there recently at the Inclusive Family Day 2023 and reached out to participants who might benefit from her therapeutic art sessions.

Art as a Tool for Kids to Cope with Stress
Ms Elfin also presented a talk that day and shared her experience on working with children with special needs.
She shared many success stories of how her art sessions helped many young children discover the benefits of therapeutic art as a tool to help them manage their stress and challenges.
Ms Elfin firmly believes that Therapeutic Art Growth can go a long way in helping many to cope and overcome their stressful circumstances in this day and age, regardless if they are young or old.
Our Outreach @ Binjal Street Festival
Start Studio collaborated with Binjal Park Neighbourhood Committee in their events in August 2024
Family-Friendly Event
In collaboration with the Binjal Park Neighbourhood Committee, we were thrilled to be part of the vibrant Binjal Street Festival — a community celebration filled with colour, creativity, and connection.
This family-friendly event brought together residents of all ages to enjoy a lively mix of performances, food stalls, and interactive booths.
Hands-On Art Experience
Our outreach booth provided a hands-on art experience for children and their parents, allowing families to paint together, express themselves freely, and discover how therapeutic art can promote emotional well-being. It was heartwarming to see so many smiles, meaningful conversations, and joyful moments shared across generations.
We’re grateful to the Binjal Park NC for this excellent opportunity to connect with the community and share our mission of building confident, resilient children through art and a growth mindset.
